![]() ![]() ![]() After all, cheating is the cool thing to do, right? This woman has two incredible guys willing to do whatever she wants, and instead of picking one to settle down with, she strings them both along selfishly, deciding that she can take her time to make a decision and pick one person to be with. If you thought Travis and Abby were stubborn, you'll find Kiera to be stubborn, clueless, and ridiculous to the extreme. The couple in Thoughtless was a 1 step forward, 15 steps back, type of deal. I need to rant to you strangers out in the Goodreads universe. ![]() I just want to bitch about Kiera's insensitivity. This review sort of has mild spoilers, but I say to read it anyway because I'm not going to divulge anything major or reveal the outcome. Both books feature a female lead in college, and have a roommates falling-for-each-other scenario. Both books have a male lead who is a lady- killer, able to bag any woman he wants, and often does. Both books are high on the back-and-forth drama. Thoughtless has been compared to Beautiful Disaster, and I can see where the comparisons are coming from. Parts of this book were enjoyable for me, while many others were "I want to choke a bitch right now" moments. Is it possible to have a hesitant relationship with a love or hate book? Because I think that's where my mind is at. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The tiny shade they appear to have been using is their self-claimed journalistic impartiality, and the mountain they seem to have been stealing is American public opinion. Of late, American media giants The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune (IHT) have been manifestly running the risk of humiliating themselves. The situation becomes extremely critical if the trickster is a major newspaper, which has for so long presented itself as “the” source of public information, and as such not only shaped public opinion, but also influenced major political decisions. So, the exposed trick threatens to ruin the trickster's entire credibility, as he or she may well have been deceptive all along. Then, the humiliation steadily grows, or it should for any trickster with a bit of decency, as the stakeholders become increasingly suspicious about the trickster's previous seemingly genuine acts as well. Yet, when it is exposed, the trick puts the trickster in a humiliating situation. Such a trick, so long as it goes unnoticed, can serve as a source of great power and influence for anyone or any entity, be it an ordinary individual, cunning politician or formidable newspaper. ![]() A shade as tiny as a fly's wing that covers one's pupil enables the trickster to move, or steal for that matter, items as gigantic as mountains before the very eyes of that person without him or her even noticing. ![]() ![]() ![]() "The Star Hyacinths" - about Welan Dasinger, who appears with Telzey in "Resident Witch" (Federation of the Hub 2)Įdited by Eric Flint ("Afterword") and Guy Gordon ("The Federation of the Hub: An Overview").īaen Books, Riverdale, New York, U.S. "Blood of Nalakia" - gives some of the history that preceded the Elaigar and their Lion Game Two other stories from the Hub, but not about Telzey, are The Universe Against Her The Lion Game The Telzey Toy. Telzey Amberdon stories have been reprinted singly and in various combinations, with nine fine stories in three early collections read them in order. This book reprints some of James Schmitz's excellent stories about a young xenotelepath. People are always going on about Heinlein's heroines: but his female space engineers still do the dishes. As far as I can make out, James Schmitz is never given enough credit for his greatest accomplishment: writing in the 1950s stories that include women as competent human beings and equal partners. ![]() ![]() ![]() You can always contact us for any return question at inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
